Let's Figure This Out Together
Counselling in Penticton for anxiety, trauma, burnout, hormonal transitions, and nervous system regulation.
Grounded, Collaborative Counselling in Penticton and Across BC

I offer trauma and neuroscience-informed counselling for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, PMDD, perimenopause, burnout, ADHD, relationship stress, emotional overwhelm and major life transitions (to name a few).

It can feel challenging to reach out for support, especially when you’re already feeling overwhelmed - I get that. We'll start right where you are and move at a pace that feels respectful, safe and collaborative.

Hi, I'm Alysha Punnett, MA RCC
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Penticton, working with adults across BC navigating anxiety, trauma, burnout, ADHD, hormonal mental health (perimenopause, PMDD, PME), and major life transitions.

Many of the people I work with are exhausted from managing their internal world while trying to keep life functioning on the surface. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and practical. My hope is that our work together helps you feel more steady, more connected, and more able to respond to your life with clarity and agency. I have been described by clients as warm, funny, real and deeply attuned.

Support for the Messy, Human Parts of Life
You don’t need to have the “right” words for what you’re experiencing before starting therapy. Many of the people I work with feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, stuck in cycles of burnout or self-criticism, or unsure why things feel harder than they used to. Together, we work toward greater clarity, emotional steadiness, and a more supportive relationship with yourself, the people around you and your wider context.
Some of my Key Areas of Support:
Relationships, Boundaries & Life Transitions
Anxiety, Depression & Self-criticism
Trauma & Nervous System Regulation
Burnout & Perfectionism
ADHD & Emotional Regulation
Hormonal Mental Health (PMDD, Perimenopause, PMS, PME)
Therapy that feels collaborative, practical, and deeply human
My approach is grounded in trauma and neuroscience-informed care, while staying flexible to the needs of each individual client. I draw from somatic attachment psychotherapy, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and emotion regulation approaches to help clients better understand themselves, build practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Finding the right therapist matters
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and it’s important that the relationship feels like a good fit. A free 15-minute consultation offers a chance to ask questions, share a bit about what’s bringing you in, and get a feel for how I work before committing to ongoing sessions.
