Counselling in Penticton and Online Across BC
I offer individual counselling for adults who are feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, self-critical, or stuck in patterns they can’t quite shift on their own.
Counselling can help you slow things down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and find new ways to respond to your life with more steadiness and self-trust. We can begin with what feels most present, whether that is anxiety, burnout, trauma responses, ADHD, grief, relationship stress, PMDD, perimenopause, or a major life transition.
Counselling for the things that feel hard to untangle
Anxiety, Depression & Self-criticism
When your nervous system has been under stress for a long time, it can become difficult to rest, feel motivated to do anything, notice anything other than what's wrong or begin to view yourself as completely inadequate. Therapy can help you understand your stress responses, learn regulation tools, and create a more balanced and peaceful relationship with yourself and those around you.
PMDD, perimenopause, and hormonal mental health
Hormonal changes can have a significant impact on mood, anxiety, relationships, identity, and daily functioning. I support clients navigating PMS, PMDD, PME, perimenopause, and menopause with care that takes the connection between hormonal health and mental health seriously.
Trauma & Nervous System Regulation
Trauma can shape how you relate to yourself, other people and the world around you. Our work may include learning about the nervous system and how yours is currently working, reconnecting with safety, and understanding triggers and how to support yourself when they happen.
Relationships, boundaries, and communication
Therapy can help you better understand your relational patterns, identify and communicate your needs, navigate conflict, set boundaries, and build more authentic relationships with yourself and others.
ADHD, emotional regulation, and self-understanding
ADHD can influence focus, motivation, emotional intensity, relationships, and self-worth. Counselling can support greater self-understanding, practical strategies, and a more compassionate relationship with the ways the neurodiverse brain and nervous system work.
Grief, identity shifts, and life transitions
Change can bring uncertainty, loss, relief, confusion, and growth all at once. Counselling can offer support as you move through transitions in work, school, relationships, caregiving, parenting, health, identity, or stage of life.
Counselling that looks at the whole picture
My approach is biopsychosocial, neuroscience-informed, and relational. This means we look at the full picture of what may be shaping your experience, including your body, nervous system, relationships, history, culture, and current life circumstances.
Depending on what feels most relevant to you, sessions may include education, exploration and experiential practice in nervous system regulation, emotional literacy and awareness, self-compassion, values identification, boundaries, communication, past experiences, or reflection on the patterns that keep showing up in your life.
